Welcome to my online CV. I have been working within the broadcasting & corporate video production industries since 1990. Starting as a camera assistant and grip on a feature film for UTV, I then progressed to filming news and documentary footage in former Yugoslavia during 1992 and assisting on a number of short films and corporate productions over the following few years. Moving to Scotland in 1997, I studied broadcasting in Aberdeen, before gaining a place to study Professional Broadcasting (HND Tech Ops) at Ravensbourne.
Upon completion of my course at Ravensbourne, I worked as a Camera Operator on Big Brother and then Jailbreak for Channel 5. Shortly after these jobs were complete, I moved to Cardiff to work freelance ENG for BBC Wales, supplying services for news, sports and current affairs, along side PSC work for a number of independent productions. My experience also includes producing and directing, sound recording, lighting and editing with Avid and Premier.
I am a competent technician, with a working knowledge of both analogue and digital systems. I have an extensive knowledge of various camera equipment and safe working practices across the studio and location environments. I am familiar with routing and patching video and audio signals, reading schematic diagrams and operating numerous kit.
I have recently been developing skills in new technology and new media and I am familiar with and experienced in the use various software including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and PowerPoint and Canopus Procoder, for converting digital video formats for web streaming and progressive scan.
I am an excellent communicator, creative, work well within a team, with the ability to work independently and self manage. I cope well under pressure and can work to tight deadlines and deliver the best results without compromise of quality.
